Im Not Blind I Just Can't See - Fundraising Dinner for Helping Blind people

Hello, my name is Zabeehullah Faiz, I am 21 years old and I have been blind from age of 9. As the founder and president of Helping Blind People Organization, I am delighted to share the news that Helping Blind People Organization has come to fruition.  The idea of the organization existed in my mind for a while, but there had to be a date for it's beginning. What better time than this to reach out to those who need this help the most. Being blind, I have faced plenty of challenges, yet I felt the need to persist, move on and to use my talents and abilities to succeed and help others. 

A very personal incident recently is what prompted me to start the organization to help the blind. I was touched and shocked to meet a blind man that had to choose between acquiring knowledge and beg to provide food and shelter to his family. He begged and got probably about $7 per day, but people would steal what he had and he would go home with maybe $1 or some change if he was lucky . I knew then that having been nurtured in a family that could afford to take good care of me, made a difference in my life. My goal now is to reach out to the under privileged blind that have had no option of seeing what is on the other side of the tracks. To reach out and lift them up by helping them with tools that will help build their self worth and self esteem, so they can do more with who they are.

Al Fitrah is official supporters of the  charity - helping blind people. We will support this organisation to deliver technologies to the blind here and in our impoverished muslim countries, which will help improve the lives of many. The charity is lead by a brother who has remarkably beaten the odds in his own blindness, to become a hafiz of the Quran and now wishes to give such opportunities to others.

Al Fitrah will be hosting a banquetting dinner to raise the profile of this great project.
